Transcendental Meditation Reduces ADHD Symptoms Among Students: New Study Posted By : Sarina Grosswald, Ed.D.

Dissatisfaction with ADHD medication is spurring interest among doctors and parents for a safe and effective non-pharmaceutical treatment for ADHD. A promising new study published December 2008 in a peer-reviewed educational journal finds that ADHD students practicing Transcendental Meditation (TM) show marked improvements in attention, focus and learning abilities, along with significant reductions in stress and anxiety. The study shows that ADHD students can successfully learn and practice TM.
